This is from the first scene in the intro of my book. This is (hopefully) the first of a series of illustrations for the book - I'm gonna try to develop a rough and yet appealing style, which you can see some attempt at here (its more loose than I typically leave a painting.)

my book is available to anyone who wants to read it and (and not distribute or sell it to someone else :)
Unfortunately its over 500 pages long, which is a deterrent for some.
Nice to see some more digital painting. I would be interested in reading your book when you get it published, so let us know.

I like the sketchier, swoonier feel to the upper reaches, in opposition to the clearly delineated figures. It makes a good deal of sense given what they're right on top of.
Looks great - love the colours/lighting!
