So, I already know that I'm going to get a little backlash for how much leg she's showing in this one. Keep in mind that this character is a dancer-performer from a culture that falls somewhere between Gypsy and Polynesian. The costume is still in flux, somewhat - so I might post a few variants later on.

You already know my feelings on the costume. Maybe California is already liberalizing my views on such things :) Anyway, I really like it. What you have done of the sculpture makes more sense now, and I see what you mean about the "blank palette" in the coloring of her costume. She's great! I can't wait 'til the sculpture has hair! :)
to be honest, I love the costume. I think it's great and shows a lot of culture. You are an awesome artist. I love your work.
Excellent detail on the hair, feathers, and lighting. I am in awe of this piece.
To be honest, I really don't think her costume's all that 'liberal.' Sheesh Jon, you could have done what any other regular artist would have done and made 'em booty shorts (I know I would have...)!
As always, Jon, you are the master of digital painting...and I think you're making nice progress in your fundamental character design as well. Hats off!
Wonderful feathers! Good weight of body, too, and skin tone. (cute body freckles)
Yeah! I think the shorts work. the slit maybe wouldn't let the fabric hang this nicely, but it does allow her to be acrobatic. I'm interested in seeing the variants, too.
Well, between shorts, multiple ear piercings, and tattoos, I guess we can safely say you are officially corrupted, Jon. Actually, if you have been a professional in the arts this long and you still worry about something as mild as this, you are truly a choice spirit, which is closer to the truth than my first accusation.
This is awesome, Jon. I agree, the freckles are so cute, the lighting is killer, and I love your focus effects! Yous da masta!
i like it very much and feel you have done a wonderful job
The ankles too, mmmm...
Your definitely getting better at this stuff.
good job man!! really cool characterrr Benja:)
Jon, this is beautiful! I love the sweep of the lines! I look forward to seeing the sculpture.
Wow - really impressive work!!!
