Actually this is a character from my story, named Elraeynn. So the one on the bottom is the original painting, while the one on the top has some photoshopping done. which do you like better?
I think the top (photoshopped) version looks more dramatic and stylized, while the original makes her look less intimidating and a little prettier. So...I think I like the original better, but it depends on what you're trying to depict for this character.
I like the top one! YOU GOT IT DONE! YEA! the top one has more of a drastic contrast which i think compliments the focus of the painting. she looks beautiful. good job Jonathan!
I'm a fan of the bottom one. I like a lot of the subtleties in the changes of color and value. I also like how the eyes are darker than anything else, keeping our attention mainly on her gaze, and then letting us wander around to all the other interesting details. I think the top one looks a little bit overexposed and and the higher contrast made a lot of other things in the background as dark as her eyes creating less of a center of interest. But Like someone else already said, it depends on what you are going for. But for pure interests sake, I prefer to look at the bottom one; it holds my attention for longer.

I like the top one. It looks like a more finished product.
You're so talented!
